FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  600 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHEAST KANSAS
 
   ...SOUTHEASTERN CHEROKEE COUNTY
 
...FLOODING CONTINUES ALONG THE SPRING RIVER...
 
AT 1215 AM CDT...CHEROKEE COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS CONTINUED TO
REPORT WIDESPREAD FLOODING ALONG THE SPRING RIVER...ESPECIALLY NEAR
RIVERTON AND BAXTER SPRINGS.  WATER LEVELS WERE STILL RISING AND THE
RIVER IS EXPECTED TO CREST IN SOUTHEAST CHEROKEE COUNTY DURING THE
PRE-DAWN HOURS.  UNFORTUNATELY...THE SPRING RIVER IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN
ABOVE FLOOD STAGE THROUGH MUCH OF THE DAY SUNDAY.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
