THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WICHITA HAS ISSUED A
FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  900 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...

IN SOUTHEAST KANSAS

   ...ALLEN COUNTY...LABETTE COUNTY...NEOSHO COUNTY...BOURBON COUNTY...
   CRAWFORD COUNTY...AND CHEROKEE COUNTY

AT 445 AM CDT...RADAR CONTINUED TO INDICATE NUMEROUS AREAS OF SHOWERS
WITH SOME ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.  MOST OF THE RAIN WAS LIGHT TO MODERATE.
THIS WILL CONTINUE TO AGGREVATE THE ALREADY FLOODED AREAS OF SOUTHEAST
KANSAS THIS MORNING.  MANY RURAL ROADWAYS AND HIGHWAYS WERE UNDER
WATER AND CLOSED.  TRAVELERS ARE URGED NOT TO DRIVE IN THESE AREAS
UNTIL THE FLOOD WATERS RECEDE. THE MAIN THREAT FOR ADDITIONAL RAINFALL
WILL BE MOSTLY THIS MORNING.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
