448 PM CDT SAT MAY 8 1993

A TORNADO WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR THAT PART OF NORTH TEXAS UNTIL 1100 PM
TONIGHT. THE WATCH AREA IS NORTH OF A LINE FROM SOUTHWEST OF
ABILENE...TO MINERAL WELLS...TO NORTH OF GREENVILLE.

AT 430 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED DEVELOPING
THUNDERSTORMS LOCATED ALONG THE PARKER...WISE COUNTY LINES IN CENTRAL
NORTH TEXAS.  STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED IN NORTHWESTERN
PORTIONS OF NORTH TEXAS IN THE WICHITA FALLS VICINITY AND SOUTHWEST OF
THIS COMMUNITY.

STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIKELY PRODUCE RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1
TO 2 INCHES IN THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH AREA. ISOLATED 3 INCH RAINFALL AMOU
SARE POSSIBLE.

A TORNADO WATCH INDICATES SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY IN AND CLOSE
TO THE WATCH AREA. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN THE TORNADO WATCH AREA MAY
PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO WARNING. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS
THAT THE THREAT OF FLASH FLOODING EXISTS IN THE WATCH AREA. CHECK
