FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN CENTRAL MISSOURI
 
   ...CENTRAL SALINE COUNTY...INCLUDING MARSHALL
 
AT 950 A CLUSTER OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WAS PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN IN
CENTRAL SALINE COUNTY. AT 940 STRADDLE CREEK HAD FLOODED ONTO HIGHWAY 65
JUST NORTH OF MARSHALL. THE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE SHOWN LITTLE MOVEMENT AND
HEAVY RAIN IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE IN THIS AREA AND PRODUCE
ADDITIONAL FLASH FLOODING.
 
 
MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN CARS AND TRUCKS. DO NOT DRIVE
ACROSS A FLOODED ROADWAY. A FEW INCHES OF RAPIDLY MOVING WATER CAN
SWEEP AWAY A CAR. IF YOUR CAR BECOMES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER...GET
OUT AND MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
