SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHEYENNE WY
240 PM MDT MON JUL 26 1993

...THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DEVELOPED IN SOUTHEAST WYOMING...

WEATHER SERVICE RADAR SHOWED AT 230 PM SEVERAL STRONG THUNDERSTORMS
HAD DEVELOPED IN SOUTHEAST WYOMING.  THE STRONGEST STORM WAS IN WESTERN
GOSHEN COUNTY 30 MILES SOUTHWEST OF TORRINGTON.  ANOTHER STRONG STORM
WAS OVER VETERAN WHICH IS 12 MILES SOUTHWEST OF TORRINGTON.  THESE
STORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT AROUND 20 MILES AN HOUR.

HEAVY RAIN...STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND SMALL HAIL WERE LIKELY IN THESE
STORMS.  THESE STORMS...ALONG WITH OTHER STORMS THIS AFTERNOON...HAVE
THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE LARGE HAIL AND EVEN TORNADOES.  IF YOU SEE
STORMS APPROACHING SEEK SHELTER INDOORS IMMEDIATELY.  STAY TUNED TO
RADIO AND TELEVISION STATIONS FOR LATER STATEMENTS AND POSSIBLE
WARNINGS.
