AT 200 PM...NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE IN NORTHEAST NEW YORK. THROUGH LATE THIS AFTERNOON THE SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY WILL BECOME WIDESPREAD IN THE AREA. BY 300 PM...A THUNDERSTORM WITH HEAVY RAIN WILL CROSS LAKE CHAMPLAIN FROM COOPERSVILLE TO ALBURG VERMONT. THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE THROUGH MUCH OF ESSEX AND CLINTON COUNTIES IN NEW YORK. OTHER THUNDERSTORMS WILL ENTER THE LOWER CHAMPLAIN VALLEY...IN RUTLAND COUNTY FROM FAIR HAVEN TO THE PITTSFORD AREA. A FEW DEVELOPING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL ALSO BE MOVING ACROSS THE NORTHEAST COUNTIES OF VERMONT. SOME OF THE THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH THIS EVENING WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND...HAIL AND TORRENTIAL DOWNPOtURS.
