...93 DEGREE TEMPERATURES IN RHODE ISLAND FEEL MORE LIKE 100...

AT 100 PM THE TEMPERATURE AT THE PROVIDENCE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE
OFFICE IN RHODE ISLAND ROSE TO 93 DEGREES.  THE TEMPERATURE IS
COMBINING WITH HIGH HUMIDITY TO CREATE AN APPARENT TEMPERATURE AROUND
100 DEGREES.

HOT AND HUMID TROPICAL AIR WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE INTO RHODE ISLAND
ON SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS THE REST OF THIS AFTERNOON WITH TEMPERATURES
AWAY FROM THE SHORE REACHING 95 TO 100 DEGRESS HERE IN THE OCEAN
STATE...WITH APPARENT TEMPERATURES OF 100 TO 120.

PEOPLE IN RHODE ISLAND SHOULD TAKE IT SLOW THE RvEST OF THIS AFTERNOON.
THE DANGERS OF HEATSTROKE...SUNSTROKE...AND HEAT EXHAUTION ARE VERY
REAL.  DRINK PLEANTY OF NON ALCOHOLIC LIQUIDS AND STAY OUT OF THE SUN.
