NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BISMARCK ND
410 PM CDT SUN JUL 18 1993

...A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CDT FOR MOST OF
CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA AND A SEVERE THUNDERTORM WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED
FOR EASTERN NORTH DAKOTA UNTIL 10 PM CDT...

AT 410 PM CDT WEATHER RADARS INDICATED A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS
THAT EXTENDED FROM NORTH OF DEVILS LAKE TO SOUTHEAST OF BISMARCK. THE
LINE WAS MOVING TO THE EAST AT 35 MPH. SOME OF THE THUNDERSTORMS
CONTAINED VERY HEAVY RAIN...SMALL HAIL AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS.

THIS LINE WILL BE IN THE DEVILS LAKE AREA BY 430 PM...AND THE JAMESTOWN
AREA AROUND 5 PM.

A SECOND LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED FROM NORTHWEST OF MINOT NEAR
THE CANADIAN BORDER...SOUTHWARD TO CENTRAL LAKE SAKAKAWEA. THIS LINE OF
STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WAS ALSO MOVING TO THE EAST AT 35 MPH.

THIS LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE IN THE MINOT AREA BY 430 PM.

ALL OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE THE POTENTIAL OF PRODUCING LARGE HAIL...
DAMAGING WINDS AND POSSIBLY TORNADOES.

AS THUNDERSTORMS APPROACH...BE PREPARED TO TAKE SHELTER.

TO REPORT SEVERE WEATHER...CALL YOUR NEAREST LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY
AND HAVE THEM RELAY THE INFORMATION TO STATE RADIO.
