THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 615 AM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE WEST CENTRAL PART OF LOWER MICHIGAN
      WEST CENTRAL AND CENTRAL MUSKEGON

AT 515AM A THUNDERSTORM... WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN... WAS OVER
THE CITY OF NORTON SHORES. THE THUNDERSTORM HAS DROPPED 1.09
INCHES OF RAINFALL IN ONLY 33 MINUTES.

PERSONS IN LOW LYING AREAS SHOULD SEEK HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
ACT QUICKLY TO SAVE YOURSELF AND THOSE WHO DEPEND ON YOU. YOU
MAY ONLY HAVE A SHORT TIME TO TAKE REFUGE.

MOTORISTS SHOULD AVOID KNOWN PROBLEM AREAS IN THE WARNING AREA AND
SEEK ALTERNATE ROUTES AS NECESSARY. DRIVERS SHOULD PLAN AHEAD AND
ALLOW EXTRA TIME FOR TRAVELING DUE TO HEAVY RAINFALL.
