000 TTAA00 KAMA 122344 TORAMA TXC179-130045- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AMARILLO TX 643 PM CDT TUE OCT 12 1993 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AMARILLO HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 745 PM CDT FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN THE TEXAS PANHANDLE ...NORTHEASTERN GRAY COUNTY AT 642 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM MOVING INTO THE NORTHEAST PART OF GRAY COUNTY. THIS STORM COULD DEVELOP INTO A TORNADO...AND HAS PRODUCED GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL AS IT MOVED THROUGH MIAMI IN ROBERTS COUNTY. THE STORM WAS MOVING SOUTH- SOUTHEAST AT LESS THAN 10 MPH TOWARD THE TOWN OF LAKETON. THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION. DO NOT RUN OUTSIDE TO FIND THE TORNADO...SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY. MOVE TO A SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF AVAILABLE. OTHERWISE...GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR. USE BLANKETS...PILLOWS OR CUSHIONS TO COVER YOBUR BODY. AVOID WINDOWS.
