TXZ001>012-COZ015>017-NMZ005-009-013-OKZ001>004-008-009-012-013-010145- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT AND RADAR SUMMARY NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AMARILLO TX 745 PM CDT MON MAY 31 1993 ...NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE OVER NORTHEASTERN NEW MEXICO... AT 735 PM CDT (635 PM MDT)...AMARILLOS DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS IN NORTHEAST NEW MEXICO. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE IN AN AREA 50 MILES WIDE EXTENDING FROM 20 MILES SOUTHWEST OF CLAYTON TO 45 MILES SOUTHWEST OF TUCUMCARI. THE STRONGEST STORMS IN THIS AREA WERE 30 MILES SOUTHWEST OF CLAYTON...OR EAST OF GLADSTONE. ANOTHER STORM WAS HALF WAY BETWEEN TUCUMCARI AND CLAYTON...OR 10 MILES EAST OF AMISTAD AND A THIRD STORM WAS 20 MILES SOUTHWEST OF TUCUMCARI. THESE STORMS CONTINUED TO MOVE INTO MOIST AND UNSTABLE AIR AND ARE EXPECTED TO TRACK THROUGY NORTHEAST NEW MEXICO AND INTO THE WESTERN TEXAS PANHANDLE THROUGHOUT THIS EVENING. SMALL HAIL...GUSTY WINDS AND LIGHTNING CAN BE EXPECTED FROM THESE STORMS AS THE MOVE EAST AT 20 MILES AN HOUR. AT 708 PM CDT (608 PM MDT) SMALL HAIL HAD BEEN REPORTED FROM THE STORMS NEAR UTE RESERVIOR. OTHER LESS INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS WERE WITHIN 30 MILES NORTHWEST TO EAST AND SOUTHWEST OF TUCUMCAIR.
