SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  330 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES ...
 
IN EAST CENTRAL OKLAHOMA
 
   ...MCINTOSH COUNTY...SOUTHERN MUSKOGEE COUNTY
 
AT 240 AM RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN MCINTOSH COUNTY
NORTHWEST OF EUFAULA. WIND DAMAGE WAS REPORTED EARLIER WITH THIS STORM
AND DAMAGING WINDS ARE LIKELY IN MCINTOSH AND SOUTHERN MUSKOGEE
COUNTIES AS THE STORM MOVES THROUGH. THE STORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT

...THUNDERSTORMS HAVE MOVED INTO THE TULSA AREA...

SHOWERS AND EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS HAVE MOVED INTO THE TULSA AREA.
AT 1130 PM SEVERAL STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE OVER TULSA...CREEK AND
OKFUSKEE COUNTIES.  THESE STORMS WILL PRODUCE DANGEROUS LIGHTNING AND
PERIODS OF VERY HEAVY RAIN AS THEY MOVE NORTHEAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR.

...THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN IN EASTERN OKLAHOMA...

AT 145 AM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN TULSA SHOWED A 70 MILE WIDE
BAND OF THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM NORTHEAST TO CENTRAL OKLAHOMA. THE
THUNDERSTORMS WERE CENTERED ALONG A LINE FROM MIAMI TO TULSA TO STROUD.
THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR AND THUS
WERE MOVING ACROSS THE SAME AREAS. THIS WAS CAUSING HEAVY RAINFALL TO
PERSIST IN THE SAME AREAS FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME. AS OF 140 AM
ABOUT 1 INCH OF RAIN HAS FALLEN AT THE TULSA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.
THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS ARE CURRENTLY IN OKFUSKEE AND SOUTHERN
CREEK COUNTIES AND THESE STORMS WILL TRACK NORTHEAST TOWARD TULSA AND
ROGERS COUNTIES BETWEEN NOW AND 4 AM. PERSISTENT HEAVY RAINFALL COULD
CAUSE SOME FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS IN THESE AREAS.
