NCEI Storm Data entries that began inside the alert's area while it was in force. Before 2003 the local storm report archive is thin, so this is the record of what happened rather than what was phoned in. Storm Data before 1996 records only tornadoes, thunderstorm wind and hail.

EASTERN OKLAHOMA THUNDERSTORM OUTLOOK...UPDATED...
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TULSA OK
300 PM CDT TUE JUN 9 1992

THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THE REST OF THIS
AFTERNOON AND EVENING ACROSS PARTS OF SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA. THE SLIGHT
RISK AREA INCLUDES THE COUNTIES OF PITTSBURG...LATIMER...LEFLORE AND
MCCURTAIN. THUNDERSTORMS MAY APPROACH SEVERE LIMITS ACROSS THE
REMAINDER OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA.

A VERY MOIST ATMOSPHERE REMAINS OVER EASTERN OKLAHOMA WITH DEWPOINTS
BETWEEN 65 AND 70. TEMPERATURES HAVE RISEN WELL INTO THE 80S ACROSS
SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA CAUSING THE AIRMASS TO BECOME QUITE UNSTABLE.
STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE DEVELOPING NEAR THE RED RIVER AT MID
AFTERNOON AND ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT IS EXPECTED IN
SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THESE STORMS WILL BE
CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS.

ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA CONSIDERABLE CLOUD COVER HAS
LIMITED SURFACE HEATING. SATELLITE PICTURES INDICATE THAT THE CLOUDS
ARE THINNING SOUTH OF A TULSA TO WEST SILOAM SPRINGS LINE AND THIS
SHOULD ALLOW THE AIRMASS TO WARM SOME AND DESTABILIZE. THNUDERSTORMS
MAY DEVELOP IN EAST CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA LATE THIS AFTERNOON
AND EVENING AND THESE STORMS MAY PRODUCE HAIL UP TO 1/2 INCH IN
DIAMETER AND WIND GUSTS TO AROUND 40 MILES AN HOUR. WEAK WIND FIELDS
AND THE LACK OF SUFFICIENT INSTABILITY SHOULD KEEP THESE STORMS BELOW
SEVERE) LIMITS HOWEVER.

SPOTTER GROUPS IN SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR ACTIVATION
THE REMAINDER OF THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE BEGINNING TO DEVELOP ACROSS THE REMAINDER
OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA. SOME OF THESE STORMS MAY PRODUCE SMALL HAIL AND
GUSTY WINDS BUT THEY ARE NOT LIKELY T0O BECOME SEVERE. MOST OF THE
