823 PM CDT WED JUL 29 1992

AT 820PM CDT...VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS PERSISTED ABOUT 40 TO 45 MILES
NORTH OF TOPEKA ACROSS NORTHWEST ATCHISON...NORTHEAST JACKSON AND
EXTREME SOUTHERN BROWN COUNTY. THE STORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST 20 TO
25 MPH AND WILL MOVE ACROSS WESTERN ATCHISON COUNTY BETWEEN 820 AND
850PM THIS EVENING. THE CITIES OF MUSCOTAH...EFFINGHAM...WHITING AND
HURON ARE IN THE PATH OF THESE STORMS.

TORRENTIAL RAINFALL THAT COULD CAUSE FLOODING...DEADLY LIGHTNING...
HAIL AND WINDS IN EXCESS OF 50 MPH ARE POSSIBLE.

OTHER STRONG STORMS WERE ABOUT 30 TO 35 MILES WEST OF TOPEKA NEAR
ALMA. THESE STOR|MS WERE ALSO MOVING EAST AT 20 TO 25 MPH.

REMEMBER A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH CONTINUES FOR A GOOD SHARE OF
NORTHEAST KANSAS UNTIL 1AM CDT.
