FLZ006-008>021-142040- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT AND RADAR SUMMARY NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAMPA BAY-RUSKIN FL 340 PM EDT TUE JUL 14 1992 ...SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS OVER WEST CENTRAL FLORIDA... AT 340 PM RADAR INDICATED STRONG SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE TAMPA BAY AREA...ESPECIALLY NORTHERN PINELLAS COUNTY. THEY EXTENDED NORTH INTO PASCO AND HERNANDO COUNTIES. MOVEMENT WAS NORTHERLY AT LESS THAN 10 MILES AN HOUR. THESE THUNDERSTORMS CAN PRODUCE VERY HEAVY RAINS AND RESIDENTS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR LOCAL STREET FLOODING AND NOT TRY TO DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED AREAS. OTHER SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WERE SCATTERED OVER THE STATE ESPECIALLY OVER THE SOUTHERN THIRD FROM AROUND LAKE OKEECHOBEE SOUTH. OTHER SHOWERS WERE SCATTERED OUT OVER THE GULF OUT TO 120 MILES OFF NORTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL FLORIDA. MOVEMENT WAS NORTHERLY AT 10 MILES AN HOUR.
