SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  345 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN WEST CENTRAL GEORGIA

AT 230 PM EDT COLUMBUS WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE
THUNDERSTORM JUST SOUTHWEST OF PRESTON GEORGIA MOVING VERY
LITTLE. THIS STORM HAS GROWN TO SEVERE LEVELS DUE TO THE EXTREME
HEAT AND HAIL ALONG WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN WAS OBSERVED ON RADAR.
FLOODING OF ROADS AND LOW LYING AREAS IS ALSO POSSIBLE DUE
TO THE LITTLE MOVEMENT OF THE STORM. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN
HAVE DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 57 MILES AN HOUR.
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55
MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
