SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  330 PM MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION......

IN CENTRAL UTAH

   ...SEVIER COUNTY

A THUNDERSTORM WITH HAIL TO AN INCH IN DIAMETER WAS MOVING THROUGH
SEVIER COUNTY NEAR THE TOWN OF GLENWOOD.  THIS STORM IS MOVING TO THE
EAST AT AROUND 20 MPH.

TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY...THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM WITH THE LARGE HAIL
AND FREQUENT CLOUD-TO-GROUND LIGHTNING.

IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A=
STRONG BUILDING.  DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...
AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS.
STAY INSIDE AWAY FROM WINDOWS UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED.

      ...THUNDERSTORMS ON THE INCREASE OVER WESTERN UTAH...

A COLD FRONT ENTERING NORTHWEST UTAH HAS BROUGHT A RAPID DEVELOPMENT
IN THUNDERSTORMS OVER NORTHERN AND WESTERN PORTIONS OF THE STATE
EARLY THIS AFTERNOON.  STRONG THUNDERSTORMS EXTEND FROM NEAR SALT
LAKE CITY SOUTH TO DELTA UTAH.  ANOTHER AREA OF STRONG STORMS WAS
NOTED OVER THE UINTA MOUNTAINS OF NORTHEAST UTAH.

WIDESPREAD SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED OVER ALL OF
WESTERN UTAH LATER THIS AFTERNOON AS THE COLD FRONT CONTINUES
EASTWARD.  THUNDERSTORMS WILL ALSO INCREASE OVER EASTERN UTAH LATER
THIS AFTERNOON AS DAYTIME HEATING REACHES IT'S MAXIMUM.

THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL...SMALL HAIL...GUSTY
WINDS AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING.  REPORTS RECEIVED ALREADY HAVE WEST
KEARNS WITH A HALF AN INCH OF RAIN /.50/ AND PEA-SIZE HAIL.  WEST
JORDAN AND MAGNA HAVE ALSO REPORTED PEA-SIZE HAIL FROM THUNDERSTORMS.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES WILL BE IMPAIRED BY TODAY`S THUNDERSTORMS.  LIGHTNING
IS A PROVEN KILLER...THERFORE STAY INDOORS OF IN YOUR CAR WITH LIGHTNING
IN YOUR AREA.  ALSO...MINOR FLOODING OF ROADWAYS IN URBAN AREAS IS
POSSIBLE.  DRIVE CAUTIOUSLY IF FLOODED ROADS ARE ENCOUNTERED.
