000 TTAA00 KSHV 022235 TORSHV LAC015-017-022315- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SHREVEPORT LA 535 PM CDT TUE JUN 2 1992 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SHREVEPORT HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 615 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS.. IN NORTHWEST LOUISIANA ...NORTHERN BOSSIER PARISH...NORTHERN CADDO PARISH AT 530 PM CDT THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN SHREVEPORT INDICATED A POSSIBLE TORNADO IN NORTHERN CADDO PARISH NEAR DIXIE LOUISIANA. THERE WAS ALSO A STRONG THUNDERSTORM IN THAT VICINITY. THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVUNG TO THE EAST NORTHEAST AT 20 MILES PER HOUR. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE IS A BA^SEMENT. GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE. IF NO BASEMENT IS AVAILABLE...SEEK SHELTER IN AN INTERIOR ROOM SUCH AS A CLOSET ON THE LOWEST FLOOR. USE BLANKETS...PILLOWS... OKZ040-021-034-TXZ022-023-027-028-032-033-ARZ009-010-011-016-LAZ001- 002-003-004-005-006-022220- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SHREVEPORT LA 415 PM CDT TUE JUN 2 1992 BAND OF THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED TO DEVELOPED OVER THE NORTHWEST HALF OF THE ARKLATEX AND INCREASE THIS EVENING. ISOLATED SEVERE STORMS MAY DEVELOP. AT 410 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN SHREVEPORT INDICATED A BAND OF THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING IN NORTHEAST TEXAS FROM NEAR JEFFERSON TEXAS TO MARSHALL TO 20 MILES WEST OF CENTER TO NEAR LUFKIN. ANOTHER BAND OF THUNDERSTORMS WAS DEVELOPING OVER SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA NEAR BETHEL AND EXTENDED TO NEAR PARIS AND KAUFMAN TEXAS. INDIVIDUAL STORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH. IF THE STORMS BECOME MORE ORGANIZED THIS EVENING THEY SHOULD BEGIN TO SPREAD MORE EASTWARD. AHEAD OF THE BAND SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED TO EFFECT NORTH CENTRAL LOUISIANA AND SOUTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS. THIS AREA OF RAIN WAS SPREADING NORTHEASTWARD THORUGHOUT THE DAY. ALONG WITH THE THREAT OF SEVERE STORMS VERY HEAVY RAINFALL IS LIKELY ACROSS THE ARKLATEX THIS EVENING AND TONIGHT. HEAVY RAINFALL COULD PRODUCE LOW AREA FLOODING OVER EXTREME SOUTHEAST OKLAHCOMA...NORTHEAST TEXAS...SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS...AND NORTH LOUISIANA.
