LOUISIANA AND SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS UNTIL 9 PM...
...FLASH WATCH IN EFFECT FOR NORTHWEST LOUISIANA AND NORTHEAST TEXAS
TONIGHT...

AT 410 PM CDT WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN SHREVEPORT SHOWED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS EAST TEXAS AND AND PARTS OF NORTH LOUISISANA AND
SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS. A POSSIBLE SEVERE STORM WAS LOCATED ABOUT 20 MILES
SOUTHEAST OF LUFKIN TEXAS. OTHER THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY
RAINFALL WERE LOCATED IN NORTHWEST LOUISIANA FROM NEAR RUSTON TO
NATCHITOCHES.  MOST OF THE SHOWER ACTIVITY WAS LOCATED WEST OF A LINE
FROM MURFREESBORO ARKANSAS TO GREENWOOD LOUISIANA TO JASPER TEXAS.
MOVEMENT WAS NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH.

THUNDERSTORMS MAY PRODUCE VERY HEAVY RAINFALL...HIGH AND POSSIBLY
DAMAGING...AND HAIL. THE THREAT OF STORMS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TONIGHT
ACROSS THE ARKLATEX.

PERSONS ACROSS THE ARKLATEX REGION SHOULD MONITOR CHANGING WEATHER
CONDITIONS TODAY AND TONIGHT AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A SAuFE PLACE
IF SEVERE WEATHER DEVELOPS. THUNDERSTORMS CAN PRODUCE FLOOD PRODUCING
RAINFALL...HIGH AND POSSIBLY DAMAGING WINDS...HAIL...AND DANGEROUS
LIGHTNING AS WELL AS TORNADOES.

AT 505 PM CDT WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN SHREVEPORT CONTINUED TO SHOW
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS NORTHEAST TEXAS AND OVER PARTS OF
SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS AND NORTH LOUISIANA. ONE 50 MILE WIDE AREA EXTENDED
FROM NEAR HOT SPRINGS ARKANSAS TO TEXARKANA TO TENAHA TEXAS TO WOODVILLE.
ANOTHER BAND OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED FROM NEAR PARIS TEXAS
SOUTHWARD TO ATHENS. OVER NORTH LOUISIANA ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDER-
STORMS WERE INDICATED. VERY HEAVY RAINFALL WAS OCCURRING NEAR LOGANSPORT
LOUISIANA...NEAR THE SAN RAYBURN RESERVOIR IN EAST TEXAS AND NEAR WILLS
POINT TEXAS. MOVEMENT WAS TO THE NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH.

THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE VERY HEAVY RAINFALL...STRONG GUSTY WINDS...
...AND POSSIBLY HAIL. THE THREAT OF STORMS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TONIGHT
ACROSS THE ARKLATEX.

PERSONS ACROSS THE ARKLATEX REGION SHOULD TAKE CAUTION IF TRAVELING TONIGHT.
HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS AND POSSIBLY
FLOODING IN LOW AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS. SEVERE STORMS CAN CAUSE FLOOD
PRODUCING RAINFALL...HIGH AND DAMAGING7 WINDS...HAIL...AND DANGEROUS
LIGHTNING AS WELL AS TORNADOES.
