...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED OVER SOUTHEAST TEXAS AND CENTRAL
LOUISIANA...

AT 235 PM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN SHREVEPORT SHOWED AN
AREA OF DEVELOPING SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS OVER NORTHEAST TEXAS.
THESE EXTENDED FROM NEAR CANTON TEXAS NORTHEAST THROUGH MT PLEASANT
TO NEAR WRIGHT PATMAN LAKE SOUTHWEST OF TEXARKANA. OTHER SHOWERS WERE
DEVELOPING JUST NORTH OF HALLSVILLE AND NEAR HENDERSON TEXAS. THE
STRONGEST THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED 7 MILES NORTHWEST OF LINDEN. THESE
DEVELOPING THUNDERSTORMS MAY CONTINUE TO DEVELOP AS THE AFTERNOON
PROGRESSES...AND A FEW OF THE THUNDERSTORMS COULD APPROACH SEVERE
INTENSITIES.

FURTHER TO THE SOUTH...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED ACROSS SOUTH-
EAST TEXAS...THROUGH THE LOWER TOLEDO BEND COUNTRY...INTO CENTRAL
LOUISIANA. THIS AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WAS 15 MILES WIDE...
AND EXTENDED FROM KOUNTZE AND NEWTON TEXAS TO NEAR FORT POLK LOUISIANA
TO ALEXANDRIA AND JONESVILLE. THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS IN THIS AREA
WERE LOCATED NEAR WOODVILLE TEXAS...NORTH OF DE RIDDER LOUISIANA...NEAR
LACAMP LOUISIANA...AND JUST SOUTH OF JENA LOUISIANA.

THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER NORTHEAST TEXAS WERE MOVING TO THE
NORTHEAST AT 25 MILES PER HOUR...WHILE THE THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE LOWER
TOLEDO BEND COUNTRY WERE MOVING AND DEVELOPING NORTH NORTHEASTWARD AT 35
MILES PER HOUR.

...FLASH FLOOD AND FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA
   FOR THIS AFTERNOON FOR SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA...

AT 230 PM WIDESPREAD RAIN WITH EMBEDED THUNDERSTORMS...SOME WITH VERY HEAVY
RAIN...CONTINUED OVER MOST OF SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA AND SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI.
THE THUNDERSTORMS WITH THE HEAVIEST RAIN WERE OCCURRING BETWEEN 5 MILES
EAST OF MORGAN CITY AND 20 MILES SOUTHWEST OF NEW ORLEANS AND BETWEEN
TIMBALIER BAY AND BARATARIA BAY. SOME HEAVIER RAIN WAS ALSO OCCURRING OVER
SOUTHERN TAGIPAHOA PARISH.

THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING EASTERLY AT 30 MILES AN HOUR.
