THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 615 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE SOUTHWEST PART OF MISSOURI
      EASTERN WEBSTER...WRIGHT...DOUGLAS

AT 515 PM A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS 40 MILES SOUTHEAST OF
SPRINGFIELD NEAR AVA.  MOVEMENT WAS TOWARD THE NORTHEAST AT 30
MPH.  THE CITY AVA IS IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM.  IF YOU ARE IN ITS PATH...PREPARE FOR
DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING.  PEOPLE OUTSIDE
SHOULD MOVE TO SHELTER...PREFERABLY INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING.  ONCE
INSIDE...STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE INCREASING IN INTENSITY ACROSS
PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST MISSOURI.

HEAVIEST THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED JUST NORTHEAST OF BRANSON
AND NEAR KIMBERLING CITY 35 MILES SOUTH OF SPRINGFIELD. THIS
STORM MAY CONTAIN SMALL HAIL AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS.

OTHER STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE IN THE VICINITY OF JOPLIN. THE
STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 35 MILES AN HOUR.
