...FLASH FLOOD WATCH UNTIL 8PM EDT FOR WESTERN WEST VIRGINIA...

...FLOOD WATCH FOR SOUTH CENTRAL OHIO TODAY....

AT 1255 EDT A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS, SOME PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN
AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING EXTENDED FROM MASON COUNTY WEST VIRGINIA
SOUTHWEST THROUGH LAWRENCE COUNTY OF OHIO INTO GREENUP COUNTY AND
CONTINUES BACK TO LEXINGTON.

THE STRONGEST STORMS WERE OVER NORTHERN CARTER AND GREENUP COUNTIES
OF KENTUCKY.  THE LINE OF STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST AT ABOUT
30 MPH AND WILL BE PASSING THOUGH THE HUNTINGTON, ASHLAND AND VICINITY
AREA DURING THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS.

CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR A LOT OF RAIN TO FALL FROM THESE STORMS.
FLOODING AND FLASH FLOODING IS A GOOD POSSIBILITY THROUGHOUT
THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

IF THUNDERSTORMS APPROACH YOUR AREA SEEK SHELTER INDOORS.  BE
PREPARED TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUNDS IF RISING WATER IS OBSERVED
OR A WARNING ISSUED.  THESE STORMS MAY ALSO PRODUCE STRONG GUSTY

AT 225 EDT THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN AND DANGEROUS
LIGHTNING EXTENDED FROM AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM CHARLESTON
WESTWARD TO HUNTINGTON AND CONTINUED BACK THROUGH LEXINGTON.  THE
LINE WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT ABOUT 20 MPH.

SOME OF THESE STORMS HAVE AND ARE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING FLOODS AND
FLASH FLOODS.  CONDITION WILL CONTINUE TO BE FAVORABLE FOR VERY
HEAVY RAINFALL THROUGHOUT THE DAY AND NIGHT.

IF THUNDERSTORMS APPROACH YOUR AREA, SEEK SHELTER INDOORS.  PERSONS
SHOULD KEEP A CLOSE WATCH OUT FOR RAPIDLY RISING WATER AND BE PREPARED

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH TONIGHT FOR ALL OF SOUTH CENTRAL OHIO,
   WESTERN WEST VIRGINIA AND NORTHEAST KENTUCKY....

AT 535 PM EDT A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINS
AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING EXTENDED FROM NEAR CIRCLEVILLE IN PICKAWAY
COUNTY OF OHIO SOUTHWEST TO EAST OF CININATTI.  THE LINE WAS MOVING
EAST-SOUTHEAST AT ABOUT 20 MPH.

A THUNDERSTORM IN BROWN COUNTY NEAR GEORGETOWN WILL BE MOVING INTO
WESTERN ADAMS COUNTY OF OHIO BETWEEN 600 AND 630 PM.  THIS STORM
HAS THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE TORRENTIAL RAINS.

HEAVY AMOUNTS OF RAIN FELL EARLIER IN THE DAY IN ADAMS COUNTY.  THE
SHERIFF`S DEPARTMENT REPORTED MINOR FLOODING OF LOWING AREAS AND SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS THIS MORNING.  WATER IS RUNNING HIGH IN THIS AREA.
HEAVY AMOUNTS OF RAINFALL THESE STORMS MOVING INTO ADAMS COUNTY
COULD PRODUCE POSSIBLE FLASH FLOODING.

OTHER AREAS ACROSS THE OHIO VALLEY HAVE RECIEVED HEAVY AMOUNTS OF
RAIN TODAY.  THIS LINE OF STORMS WILL BE MOVING THROUGH THE AREA
THIS EVENING.

THE WEATHER SERVICE IS MONITORING THE SITUATION CLOSELY.  PERSONS
SHOULD PlREPARE TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUNDS IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED
OR WARNINGS ARE ISSUED.
