FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN NORTH WEST VIRGINIA

HEAVY RAINS DURING THE PAST 12 TO 18 HOURS HAVE CAUSED SMALL STREAMS
TO RISE TO BANKFULL WITH SOME OVERFLOW REPORTED. RAINFALL AVERAGED
1.50 INCHES ACROSS MONONGALIA COUNTY WITH 1.72 INCHES ALONG JAKES RUN
IN THE WESTERN PART OF THE COUNTY. PRESTON COUNTY REPORTS NEARLY 1.50
INCHES OF RAIN (1.45) IN THE NORTHERN SECTIONS OF THE COUNTY.
 
IN PRESTON COUNTY THE BIG SANDY IS NEARING BANKFULL AND IS EXPECTED TO
OVERFLOW CAUSING MINOR FLOODING TO LOW LYING AREAS DURING THE NEXT
HOUR.
 
IN MONONGALIA COUNTY JAKES RUN IS REPORTED OUT OF ITS BANKS CAUSING
SOME MINOR FLOODING TO LOW LYING AREAS.
 
OTHER STREAMS ACROSS MONONGALIA COUNTY AND NORTHERN PRESTON COUNTY
ARE RUNNING HIGH AND MAY NEAR BANKFULL OR SLIGHTLY OVERFLOW THEIR
BANKS.

TOWARD THEz WARNED AREA. THIS COULD CAUSE SOME MINOR LOW LYING FLOODING
