THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN COLUMBUS HAS ISSUED A
FLOOD WARNING FOR SMALL STREAM FLOODING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  600 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
 
IN CENTRAL OHIO
 
   ...MADISON COUNTY...UNION COUNTY
 
AT 250 PM THE PLAIN CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORTED THAT SEVERAL SMALL
STREAMS IN THEIR AREA WERE IN FLOOD...AND THE BIG DARBY CREEK WAS
APPROACHING BANKFULL. THE UNION COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTED THAT SOME
ROADS IN THE WESTERN PART OF THE COUNTY...INCLUDING STATE ROUTE 739...
WERE CLOSED DUE TO FLOODING.
 
ALTHOUGH RADAR INDICATED THAT THE RAIN WAS JUST ABOUT TO MOVE OUT OF
THIS AREA...RUNOFF WILL CAUSE STREAM LEVELS TO RISE AND FLOODING IS
EXPCETED INTO EARLY EVENING.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
