THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PADUCAH HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  745 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI
 
   ...BOLLINGER COUNTY
 
AT 440 AM PADUCAH RADAR CONTINUED TO SHOW A LARGE AREA OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM ARKANSAS NORTHEAST TO SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS.
THE HEAVIEST BANDS OF RAIN WERE IN WAYNE AND BOLLINGER COUNTIES IN
SOUTHEAST MISSOURI. THE RAIN WAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 25 TO 30
MILES AN HOUR.
 
AS THE GROUND IS ALREADY SATURATED FROM THE HEAVY RAINS ON SUNDAY SOME
CREEKS AND STREAMS ARE ALREADY NEAR BANKFUL AND FLASH FLOODING IS LIKELY
TO OCCUR.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
