000 TTAA00 KOMA 052217 TOROMA NEC025-052245- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OMAHA NE 516 PM CDT SAT SEP 5 1992 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN OMAHA HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 545 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN EAST CENTRAL NEBRASKA ...EASTERN CASS COUNTY AT 512 PM CDT...THE CASS COUNTY SHERIFF HAD RECEIVED REPORTS OF A FUNNEL CLOUD NEAR HIGHWAY 75 IN PLATTSMOUTH...OR 25 MILES SOUTH OF OMAHA. THE STORM WAS MOVING SLOWLY TO THE NORTHEAST. PERSONS IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD TAKE SHELTER IN A BASEMENT IF AVAILABLE. OTHERWISE GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR. CARS AND MOBILE HOMES SHOULD BE ABANDONED . IN ADDITION TO THE THREAT OF TORNADOES...LARGE HAIL...DANGEROUS LIGHTNING AND VERY HEAVY RAIN ARE LIKELY WITH THIS STORM. ANDERSON

THE LINE WAS LOCATED FROM JUST WEST OF FREMONT...OR 30 MILES NORTHWEST OF OMAHA...TO ONAWA IOWA...OR 50 MILES NORTH OF OMAHA. THE STRONGEST STORMS WERE LOCATED OVER BURT COUNTY...OR 40 MILES NORTH OF OMAHA...JUST EAST OF LYONS...OAKLAND...AND SCRIBNER. THE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH. THE TOWNS OF DECATUR AND TEKAMAH WILL HAVE SOME HEAVY RAIN SHOWERS...GUSTY WINDS... AND POSSIBLY SMALL HAIL AFTER 230 PM AS THESE STORMS PASS THROUGH. ANDERSON
