AT 958 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A LARGE AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS COVERING MUCH OF NORTH CENTRAL AND EXTENDING INTO NORTHEAST NEBRASKA. THE LEADING EDGE STRETCHED FROM 35 MILES NORTHWEST OF SIOUX CITY SOUTH TO ABOUT 15 MILES WEST OF NORFOLK AND COLUMBUS. MOST OF THE STORMS CONTAINED LIGHT RAIN BUT SOME HEAVIER RAINS WERE EMBEDDED WITHIN THIS LARGER AREA. ALL OF THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR.
