SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING     EFFECTIVE UNTIL  800 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA
 
   ...NORTHERN GOODHUE COUNTY
 
THIS WARNING INCLUDES THE COMMUNITIES OF GOODHUE AND RED WING.
 
AT 6 30 PM...RADAR CONTINUED TO INDICATE A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
ABOUT 10 TO 12 MILES SOUTHWEST OF RED WING...OR IN THE VICINITY
OF THE COMMUNITY OF GOODHUE.
 
THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING VERY SLOWLY TO THE NORTHEAST...AT
5 MILES AN HOUR...AND WILL LIKELY PRODUCE EXCESSIVE RAINFALL
WHICH MAY CAUSE LOCALLIZED FLOODING.

AT 229 PM...THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN WERE DEVELOPING SOUTHWEST
OF THE TWIN CITIES OVER CARVER COUNTY NEAR HAMBURG AND WERE MOVING
SLOWLY NORTH AT 10 MILES AN HOUR.

YOUNG AMERICA...NORWOOD AND WACONIA CAN EXPECTED VERY HEAVY RAIN AND
POSSIBLE HAIL AS THESE THUNDERSTORMS PASS.

WESTERN HENNEPIN COUNTY OF THE TWIN CITIES INCLUDING THE LAKE MINNETONKA
AREA IS IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM WHICH WILL BE MOVING ACROSS THESE AREAS

AT 505 PM CDT VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE SURROUNDING THE TWIN CITIES.

NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE AREA WILL PRODUCE FREQUENT DANGEROUS
LIGHTNING...VERY HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND GUSTY WINDS. SOME LOCATIONS MAY
EXPERIENCE A BRIEF PERIOD OF SMALL HAIL.

THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING IN AN ERRATIC FASHION AND CONVERGING
ON THE CITY OF MINNEAPOLIS. HEAVY RAINS OF UP TO ONE INCH IN LESS
THAN A HALF HOUR ARE LIKELY TO OCCUR. PONDING OF WATER AND LOW
VISIBILITIES CAN BE EXPECTED ON THE HIWAYS. MOTORISTS SHOULD BE
PREPARED TO ENCOUNTER RAPIDLY CHANGING CONDITIONS.
