THUNDERSTORMS WERE OVER VOLUSIA COUNTY EXTENDING NORTHEAST INTO THE OFFSHORE WATERS FOR 25 MILES. MOVEMENT WAS EAST AT 15 MPH. THE STORMS WILL LIKELY PRODUCE STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS...DANGEROUS LIGHTNING AND VERY HEAVY DOWNPOURS AS THEY MOVE EAST THROUGH THE COUNTIES AND OVER THE COASTAL WATERS DURING THE EARLY AFTERNOON. BOATERS OVER THE COASTAL WATERS OF FLAGLER AND VOLUSIA COUNTIES... FROM MARINELAND SOUTH TO DAYTONA BEACH...PONCE DE LEON INLET AND OAK HILL SHOULD BE ALERT FOR STRONG WINDS AND ROUGLH SEAS AS THE THE THUNDERSTORMS MOVE OFFSHORE. REMEMBER...THE SAFEST PLACE DURING A THUNDERSTORM IS INDOORS AND AWAY FROM WINDOWS AND DOORS.
