AT 250 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR SHOWED A BAND OF RAPIDLY DEVELOPING THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING WEST OF ORLANDO FROM ZELLWOOD SOUTHWEST THROUGH THE CLERMONT AREA. THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORM WAS NEAR CLERMONT. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING RAPIDLY TO THE NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH. DURING THE NEXT HOUR THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE THROUGH CLERMONT AND EXTEND FROM SANFORD TO THE ORLANDO AREA AROUND WINTER GARDEN. THE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO INTENSIFY AND PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE ALERT FOR WIND GUSTS OF 40 TO 50 MPH... FREQUENT DANGEROUS LIGHTNING...AND POSSIBLE HAIL.
