IN CENTRAL FLORIDA ...EASTERN ORANGE COUNTY AT 745 PM EDT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS NEAR BITHLO MOVING TO THE EAST AT 10 MPH. zTHIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. IF YOU ARE IN ITS PATH YOU SHOULD PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 58 MPH...LARGE HAIL...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING. AT 640 PM EDT...A BAND OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS HAD DEVELOPED FROM TAVARES TO BUSHNELL AND ANOTHER BAND WAS BETWEEN ALTAMONTE SPRINGS AND LAKE HARNEY. A FUNNEL CLOUD WAS REPORTED IN THE LEESBURG AREA BUT DID NOT REACH THE GROUND. THE THUNDERSTROMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST AT 10 MPH. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE FREQUENT LIGHTNING STRIKES...GUSTY WINDS...VERY HEAVY RAIN...AND POSSIBLE SMALL HAIL. ANOTHER BAND OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS HAD DEVELOPED BETWEEN FLAGLER BEACH AND NORTHERN MARION COUNTY.

AT 720 PM EDT...A CLUSTER OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WAS BETWEEN ALTAMONTE SPRINGS...SEA WORLD...AND LAKE HARNEY. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE STRONG GUSTY WINDS...FREQUENT LIGHTNING...VERY HEAVY RAIN...AND POSSIBLE SMALL HAIL. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST AT 10 MPH BUT NEW CELLS CONTINUE TO FORM ON THE WEST AND SOUTH SIDES OF ORLANDO.. RESIDENTS AND MOTORISTS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR PONDING OF WATER IN LOW LYING AREAS AND ON ROADWAYS. STORMWATER RUN-OFF WILL BE SLOWED BECAUSE OF THE SATURATEND GROUND FROM RECENT HEAVY RAIN IN THE AREA.
