THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEDFORD HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 200 PM PST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN SOUTHWEST OREGON
 
   ...CURRY COUNTY...JOSEPHINE COUNTY
 
THE STORM MOVING THROUGH THIS AREA IS MUCH WARMER THAN PAST FEW DAYS.
THE SNOW HAS TURNED TO RAIN BELOW 3000 FEET. THERE IS A FOOT OR MORE
OF SNOW IN MANY LOCATIONS THAT ARE BELOW 3000 FEET. THIS SNOW IS
EXPECTED TO MELT RAPIDLY AS THE TEMPERATURE RISES AND THE RAIN
CONTINUES. URBAN AND SMALL STREAMS FLOODING CAN BE EXPECTED DUE TO SNOW
MELT AND RAIN. THE SNOW LEVEL IS EXPECTED TO DROP TO NEAR 2000 FEET
TONIGHT AND SLOW THE SNOW MELT.
 
THE END IS IN SIGHT FOR THIS SERIES OF WEATHER SYSTEMS. HIGH PRESSURE
SHOULD BEGIN TO REBUILD SATURDAY WITH THE NEXT WEATHER SYSTEM MOVING
INTO THE OREGON ON MONDAY.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND. CAUTION IS ADVISED..BE AWARE
OF CHANGING WEATHER AND STREAM CONDITIONS.
