TNZ012-013-014-015-MSZ001-004-ARZ012-013-014-102100- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MEMPHIS TN 302 PM CDT WED JUN 10 1992 THUNDERSTORMS WERE STILL ACTIVE AND STRONG AT 300 PM ... AND WERE ALONG A LINE THAT STRETCHED FROM BETWEEN HUNTINGDON AND PARSONS TOWARD THE SOUTH AND WEST TO THE SELMER AREA OF WEST TENNESSEE ... AND ACROSS NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI ... FROM NEAR WALNUT TO JUST SOUTH OF HOLLY SPRINGS. THE THUNDERSTORMS OVER WEST TENNESSEE WERE MOVNG TOWARD THE EAST AT 20 MPH ... THOSE OVER MISSISSIPPI WERE MOVING TOWARD THE SOUTHEAST AT 15 MPH. THE THUNDERSTORMS HAD MOVED OUT OF MOST OF WEST TENNESSEE BY 300 PM... AND THE RAIN HAD ENDED OVER NEARLY ALL OF FAYETTE COUNTY TENNESSEE. BUT A FLASH FLOOD WARNING WILL CONTINUE FOR FAYETTE COUNTY UNTIL 345 PM AS WATER CONTINUES TO DRAIN FROM THE TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS THAT OCCURRED EARLIER. MORE THUNDERSTORMS WERE DEVELOPING OVER NORTHERN ARKANSAS THIS AFTERNOON. THESE STORMS WILL CONTINUE WORKING THEIR WAY EAST THIS EVENING AND WILL POSE A THREAT OF RENEWED THUNDERSTORMS FOR EAST ARKANSAS ... WEST TENNESSEE ... AND NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI LATER TONIGHT. STAY TUNED TO THIS STATION FOR LATER BULLETINS.
