FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1100 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN WEST TENNESSEE
 
   ...FAYETTE COUNTY
 
SINCE 9 PM THIS EVENING MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINS HAVE FALLEN OVER
FAYETTE COUNTY TENNESSEE. AS A RESULT NUMEROUS HOMES HAVE BEEN FLOODED
IN THE TOWN OF OAKLAND WITH OVER A FOOT OF WATER IN OAKLAND CITY HALL.
AREA ROADS ARE ALSO UNDERWATER.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
