205 PM CDT TUE JUN 30 1992

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 800 PM FOR MOST OF
EAST TEXAS FROM ANGELINA AND SABINE COUNTIES SOUTH TO JEFFERSON AND
ORANGE AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS...

AT 200 PM WEATHER SERVICE RADAR SHOWED A COUPLE OF LINES OF SCATTERED
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.   ONE LINE EXTENDED FROM 20 MILES WEST OF
LUFKIN ACROSS NORTHERN TYLER COUNTY INTO CENTRAL NEWTON COUNTY.
ANOTHER LINE EXTENDED FROM NEAR PALESTINE TO COLLEGE STATION.  THE
STRONGEST STORMS WERE NOTED 5 MILES SOUTHWEST OF LUFKIN AND 10 MILES
NORTH OF WOODVILLE.  MOVEMENT WAS EAST AT 15 TO 20 MILES AN HOUR.

PERSONS IN EAST TEXAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR STRONG TO SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE AFTERNOON.  STRONG DAMAGING
WINDS...LARGE HAIL...DANGEROUS LIGHTNING...AND HEAVY RAINFALL ARE ALL
POSSIBLE WITH THESE THUNDERSTORMS.  YOU SHOULD BE READY TO MOVE TO
SHELTER AT THE FIRST SIGN OF THUNDERSTORMS AND LISTEN FOR LATER
STATEMENTS AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.
