1022 PM CDT SUN APR 19 1992

A TORNADO WATCH CONTINUES IN EFFECT UNTIL 4AM CDT.
A FLOOD AND FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR TONIGHT.

AT 1020PM WEATHER RADAR INDICATED ONE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN THE
HOUSTON AREA THAT HAS PRODUCED GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL SHORTLY BEFORE
10PM CDT.  THIS STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH.  IF THIS STORM
HOLDS TOGETHER A WARNING MAY BE REQUIRED FOR THE GOLDEN TRIANGLE.

THIS STORM WAS PART OF A LARGE AREA OF RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS THAT
EXTENDED NORTHEAST TO WOODVILLE AND TO TOLEDO BEND AND LOUISIANA.
THE NEXT STRONGEST STORM WAS LOCATED JUST SOUTH OF LUFKIN NEAR
CORRIGAN. THIS STORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH.  OVERALL THERE
HAS BEEN A DECREASE OF INTENSITY OF STORMS IN THE EAST TEXAS LAKES
AREA.

HEAVY RAIN IS POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS AND MAY CAUSE LOCALIZED
STREET FLOODING IN METROPOLITAN AREAS.

...A TORNADO WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 AM CDT MONDAY FOR MOST OF
CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA...

...A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR MOST OF CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST
LOUISIANA TONIGHT...

AT 1028 PM...NUMEROUS LARGE THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN WERE SHOWN
FROM BETWEEN MANSFIELD AND WINNFIELD TO BETWEEN LEESVILLE AND MANY.  THE
THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR.

STRONG GUSTY WINDS...DANGEROUS LIGHTNING...VERY HEAVY RAIN...AND POSSIBLY
SOME SMALL HAIL MAY ACCOMPANY THESE THUNDERSTORMS AS THEY MOVE ACROSS
NORTHERN VERNON PARISH AND OVER THE WESTERN PORTIONS OF RAPIDES AND GRANT
PARISHES DURING THE NEXT HOUR.

ISOLATED STROMG THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN WERE SHOWN IN EAST AND
SOUTHEAST TEXAS FROM JUST WEST OF LUFKIN AND JUST EAST OF LAKE LIVINGSTON
TO BETWEEN HOUSTON AND GALVESTON.

THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MIXED IN A LARGE AREA OF RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS
THAT EXTENDED FROM BETWEEN ALEXANDRIA AND SHREVEPORT TO BETWEEN BEAUMONT AND
LUFKIN IN EAST TEXAS TO BETWEEN FREEPORT AND HUNTSVILLE TEXAS.

THE ENTIRE WEATHER SYSTEM CONTINUED TO MOVE SOUTHEAST AT 20 MILES AN HOUR.

A TORNADO WATCH CONTINUES IN EFFECT UNTIL 4AM CDT
A FLOOD AND FLASH FLOOD CONTINUES IN EFFECT FOR TONIGHT

AT 1150PM WEATHER RADAR NOTED THE LEADING EDGE OF THE STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS JUST WEST OF JEFFERSON COUNTY.  THE STRONGEST STORMS
WERE BETWEEN DEVERS AND GALVESTON MOVING EAST AT AROUND 15 MPH.

THIS STORM SYSTEM HAS A HISTORY OF SEVERE WEATHER...TORNADOES IN
HOUSTON AND GOLF BALL HAIL AT MT BELVIEU.  VERY HEAVY RAINS ALSO
ACCOMPANY THESE STORMS.  A QUICK ONE TO TWO INCH RAINS MAY CAUSE SOME
LOCALIZED FLOODING IN THE METROPOLITAN AREA.  WARNINGS MAY BE REQUIRED
AS THESE STORMS MOVE EASTWARD.
