THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 645 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY

   IN THE NORTHEAST PART OF NEBRASKA
      SOUTHERN BOONE

AT 615 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ABOUT 40 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF NORFOLK...OR JUST WEST OF BOONE.  MOVEMENT WAS
SOUTHEAST AT 25 MPH.  THE COMMUNITIES OF BOONE AND ST EDWARD ARE
IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM.

IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE...TAKE SHELTER IN A STRONG BUILDING.  REMAIN
INSIDE AWAY FROM WINDOWS UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED.  TAKE SHELTEWR
IN AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS.

SHOWERS HAVE BEEN DEVELOPING THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA
WITH A LONE THUNDERSHOWER JUST WEST OF HAYES CENTER OR ABOUT 40 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF NORTH PLATTE.  THIS LONE THUNDERSHOWER WILL LIKELY PRODUCE
BRIEF HEAVY RAIN ALONG WITH OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING.

MORE SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSHOWERS ARE LIKELY THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS
SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA BUT MOST OF THE RAIN ASSOCIATED WITH THESE WILL BE
LIGHT.  AS THE AFTERNOON HEATING BEGINS TO DROP OFF THE SHOWERS WILL
BEGIN TO DISSIPATE.

THE SHOWERS HAVE BEEN MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 15 MILES AN HOUR.
