THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAVANNAH HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1230 AM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN SOUTHEAST GEORGIA
 
   ...EASTERN BULLOCH COUNTY
 
AT 1129 PM SAVANNAH WEATHER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH
VERY HEAVY RAIN HAD REDEVELOPED OVER EASTERN BULLOCH COUNTY.
THE BULLOCH COUNTIES SHERIFFS OFFICE REPORTED THAT 4.5 INCHES OF
RAIN WAS MEASURED IN AND AROUND BROOKLET IN THE PAST 2 HOURS AND
MORE HEAVY RAIN WAS NOW FALLING.
 
FLOODING OF LOW AREAS...STREAMS AND HOMES IN LOW AREAS ARE LIKELY
FROM BROOKLET SOUTHEAST TO STILSON IN THE NEXT HOUR AS ANOTHER
INCH OR TWO OF RAIN IS POSSIBLE IN AREAS WHERE HIGH WATER IS ALREADY
STANDING.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
