A SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WARCH IS IN EFFETC UNTIL 8 PM CDT FOR EXTREME
WEST CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST MISSISSIPPI.  THIS WATCH INCLUDES THE TOWNS
OF VICKSBURG...PORT GIBSON...NATCHEZ...WOODVILLE AND LIBERTY.

AT 230 PM CDT WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN JACKSON INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS
WITH HEAVY RAIN COVERING THE SOUTH HALF OF MISSISSIPPI...MAINLY SOUTH OF
I-20.  THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL WAS OCCURRIG NEAR VICKSBURG...10 MILES
NORTHWEST OF NATCHEZ AND NEAR ROXIE.  ANOTHER STRING THUNDERSTORM WAS
NEAR MOREAUVILLE LOUISIANA...MOVING TOWARDS WOODVILLE MISSISSIPPI.

BESIDES HEAVY RAIN...THE STORMS MAY ALSO BE ACCOMPANIED BY STRONG
GUSTY WINDS...FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND SOME HAIL. THE STORMS WERE MOVING
EAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR.

THESE STORMS HAVE A TENDENCY TO DEVELOP VERY RAPIDLY...WEAKEN A BIT
THEN RE-INTENSIFY.  IF YOU LIVE IN SOUTHWEST MISSISSIPPI...ESPECIALLY
NEAR ONE OF THE LARGER STORMS...BE READY TO SEEK SHELTER IF THE
WEATHER TURNS THREATENING.
