THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CINCINNATI HAS ISSUED A
SMALL STREAM AND URBAN FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1100 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...
 
IN NORTH KENTUCKY
          ...MASON
 
AT 845 REPORTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED BY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FROM
THE MASON COUNTY KENTUCKY CENTRAL DISPATCH THAT CREEKS AND SMALL
STREAMS WERE EXCEEDING THEIR BANKS. THESE CREEKS WERE COVERING RURAL
ROADS AND SMALL COUNTY BRIDGES HAVE BEEN WASHED OUT FROM THE EAST END
OF MAYSVILLE TO ORANGEBURG INCLUDING KANSAS, BULL, AND THE KENNEDY
CREEK AREAS.
 
WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINS WILL MOVE INTO
THE FLOODED AREAS WHICH MAY CAUSE CONTINUATION OF THE FLOODING.
 
 
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLO%OD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
