AT 1148 RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM MOVING ACROSS THE SOUTH
PART OF SAMPSON COUNTY NEAR GARLAND. THE STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 60
MPH. THIS IS THE SAME STORM THAT MOVED ACROSS BLADEN COUNTY.
 
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WINDS CAN REACH SPEEDS OF 60 MPH TO OVER 100
MPH. THESE WINDS BLOW DOWN TREES...POWER LINES...AND SEVERELY
DAMAGE MOBILE HOMES...SOMETIMES BUILDINGS. VERY LARGE HAIL CAN
