...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH #630 IS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT FOR MARION
   AND CHASE COUNTIES...

AT 640 PM CDT...A THUNDESTORM HAD DEVELOPED RAPIDLY 15 MILES WEST OF WICHITA OR
NEAR GARDEN PLAIN. THE HIGHWAY PATROL REPORTED PEA SIZE HAIL IN GARDEN PLAIN
AT 639 PM. THE THUNDERSTORM WERE CONTINUED TO DEVELOPE AND IS CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN...SMALL HAIL AND DEADLY LIGHTNING.

THIS STORM  WILL MOVE SLOWLY TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 10 MILES AN HOUR. PEOPLE
IN GARDEN PLAIN AND THE LzAKE AFTON AREA SHOULD BE ALERT AND BE PREPARED TO
TAKE COVER IN A STURDY BUILDING IF CONDITIONS WARRANT.

AT 825 PM CDT...A THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN...DEADLY LIGHTNING
AND SMALL HAIL WAS 15 MILES SOUTHEAST OF SALINA. THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING
TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 15 MILES AN HOUR AND WILL BE MOVING INTO NORTHWEST MARION
COUNTY BY 9 PM. PEOPLE IN THE TOWNS OF TAMPA AND DURHAM SHOULD PREPARE FOR
HEAVY RAIN AND SMALL HAIL.

ELSEWHERE...SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED OVER NORTHEAST AND
CENTRAL KANSAS. THE PRECIPITATION WAS IN AN AREA 40 MILES WIDE AND NORTH OF A
LINE FROM TOPEKA TO 15 MILES SOUTHWEST OF SALINA. THE AREA HAD DECREASED IN
COVERAGE BUT HAD MANTAINED IT'S INTENSITY SINCE 725 PM.

MOVEMENT WAS TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 15 MILES AN HOUR.

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE MOVING THROUGH CENTRAL KANSAS UNTIL
10 PM BUT THESE THUNDERSTORMS APPEAR TO BE WEAKENING AS THEY MOVE TO THE SOUTH.
THUNDERSTORM ARE NOT EXPECTED IN SOUTHH CENTRAL KANSAS UNTIL AROUND 11 PM THIS
EVENING.

THE WATCH HAS BEEN CANCELLED. SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED
IN SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS LATERh TONIGHT AND SOME OF THESE STORMS MAY PRODUCE VERY
HEAVY RAIN BUT ARE NOT EXPECTED TO BE SEVERE AT THIS TIME.
