000 TTAA00 KICT 140501 SVRICT KSC077-173-191-140600- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WICHITA KS MIDNIGHT CDT THU MAY 14 1992 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WICHITA HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 100 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS ...HARPER COUNTY...SEDGWICK COUNTY...WESTERN SUMNER COUNTY AT 1155 PM CDT...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WERE STILL DROPPING LARGE HAIL ACROSS HARPER COUNTY 45 TO 50 MILES SOUTHWEST OF WICHITA OR JUST EAST OF ATTICA. RADAR INDICATED STORMS BUILDING TO THE NORTHEAST AND EAST...AND WERE ENTERING WESTERN SUMNER COUNTY AND SOUTHWEST SEDGWICK COUNTY. THE STORMS MOST LIKELY DROPPING THE LARGE HAIL WERE 20 MILES SOUTHWEST OF WICHITA...OR JUST SOUTHWEST OF GARDEN PLAIN...AND 50 MILES SOUTHWEST OF WICHITA FROM EAST OF ANTHONY TO NEAR BLUFF CITY. HAIL UP TO 1 3/4 INCHES HAD BEEN REPORTED WITH THESE STORMS AS THEY MOVED TO THE EAST AT 25 MPH. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER FROM DANGEROUS WEATHER IN A STRONG BUILDING.
