TXZ020>023-025>027-160300- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORT WORTH TX 425 PM CDT THU OCT 15 1992 ...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 500 PM FOR PERSONS IN PALO PINTO COUNTY... A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM HAD DEVELOPED RAPIDLY NEAR GRAFORD. PERSONS NORTH OF THE MINERAL WELLS AREA SHOULD BE AWARE OF THIS VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORM AS IT DRIFTS SLOWLY TOWARD THE EAST NORTHEAST WITHIN THE NEXT HOUR. OTHER THUNDERSTORMS WERE DEVELOPING AT 410 PM JUST WEST OF JERMYN ON THE JACK AND YOUNG COUNTY BORDERS AS WELL AS SOUTHWEST OF BRIDGEPORT AND SOUTHWEST OF BOWIE. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE ALSO MOVING EAST NORTHEAST. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD REMEMBER THAT A TORNADO WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR THE AREA OF NORTH TEXAS GENERALLY NORTH AND EAST OF A LINE FROM WICHITA FALLS...TO STEPHENVILLE...TO WAXAHACHIE... TO MOUNT PLEASANT. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO FOR LATER UPDATES.
