THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS TODAY FOR THAT PART
OR NORTH TEXAS WEST OF A WICHITA FALLS...ABILENE LINE.

THUNDERSTORMS CONTAINING DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL ARE POSSIBLE IN
THE RISK AREA TODAY...WITH ONLY A SLIM CHANCE OF A TORNADO.

A MAJOR UPPER AIR IMPULSE WAS LOCATED OVER WEST TEXAS THIS MORNING AND
WILL MOVE ACROSS A BROAD AREA OF MOIST AND UNSTABLE AIR TODAY.  THE
ATMOSPHERE WAS MODERATELY UNSTABLE OVER THE WESTERN PART OF NORTH TEXAS
THIS MORNING.  A STATIONARY FRONT EXTENDED FROM NEAR NACOGDOCHES WEST
TO NEAR LUBBOCK...AND CONVECTION SHOULD PERSIST ALONG AND JUST NORTH
OF THIS FRONT TODAY AS THE UPPER LEVEL IMPULSE MOVES EAST.

THE VERTICLE WINDS SHEAR PROFILE IS RATHER WEAK...AND WOULD SUPPORT
ONLY ISOLATED WEAK AND SHORT LIVED TORNADOES.

SPOTTER NETWORKS IN THE RISK AREA SHOULD BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE
ACTIVATION TODAY.
