THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 830 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY

   IN THE SOUTHEAST PART OF SOUTH DAKOTA
      SOUTHERN TURNER

 AT 750 PM CDT HAIL ONE INCH IN DIAMETER WAS REPORTED BY PARKER
STATE RADIO IN PARKER.  THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM THAT PRODUCED THIS
HAIL WAS LOCATED NEAR PARKER OR ABOUT 20 MILES SOUTHWEST OF SIOUX
FALLS.  THE THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 30 MPH AND
WILL MOVE INTO THE TOWNS OF VIBORG...DAVIS AND HOOKER BY 815 PM.

IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM..YOU SHOULD GET TO A REINFORCED
SHELTER. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCES DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF
60 MPH..HAIL 3/4 INCH OR LARGER..DEADLY LIGHTNING..AND HEAVY RAIN
THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD A LOW LYING AREA.

AT 730 PM CDT A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WAS DEVELOPING 30 MILES SOUTHWEST
OF SIOUX FALLS OR 5 MILES EAST OF FREEMAN SOUTH DAKOTA. THE
THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 30 MPH.

THIS THUNDERSTORM HAS THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE HAIL AND STRONG WINDS.
RESIDENTS AND THOSE TRA<VELING IN THE PATH OF THIS THUNDERSTORM SHOULD
BE PREPARED FOR THIS ADVERSE WEATHER AND MOVE TO A SAFE REINFORCED
SHELTER IF NECESSARY.
