RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OVER NORTHERN BLEDSOE COUNTY
MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 20 MILES AN HOUR. STRONG GUSTY WINDS WERE
OCCURRING AT PIKEVILLE WHICH IS JUST SOUTH OF THE STORM.

JUNE 24TH IN ATHENS. THE HIGHEST EVER RECORDED WAS 105 DEGREES IN 1930.
