000 TTAA00 KAUS 080058 SVRAUS TXC453-080200- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN TX 756 PM CDT WED OCT 7 1992 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 900 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...TRAVIS COUNTY AT 755 PM...RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 5 MILES NORTHWEST OF JONESTOWN MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 35 MILES AN HOUR. THIS STORM IS CAPABLE OF WIND GUSTS TO OR IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. PERSONS IN JONESTOWN ARE IN THE IMMEDIATE PATH OF THIS STORM. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES OR FUNNEL CLOUDS WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
