THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1245 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
 
IN SOUTH TEXAS
 
   ...EASTERN BANDERA COUNTY...NORTHWESTERN BEXAR COUNTY
   ...KENDALL COUNTY...EASTERN KERR COUNTY
 
AT 1045 AM...THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINS EXTENDED FROM
NEAR FREDRICKSBURG TO KERRVILLE TO BANDERA TO NORTHWEST BEXAR
COUNTIES. THESE STORMS HAVE PERSISTED IN THIS AREA FOR THE PAST COUPLE
OF HOURS AS THEY MOVE TOWARD THE NORTHEAST AT 15 MPH. RAINFALL TOTALS
IN EXCESS OF UP TO TWO INCHES PER HOUR ARE POSSIBLE FROM THESE STORMS.
 
AVOID ALREADY FLOODED AREAS.  TRAVELERS SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS FLOODED ROADS.  IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS...LEAVE IT AND MOVE
IMMEDIATELY TO HIGHER GROUND.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IMMINENT.
MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS BRIDGES...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY
TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT TO ESCAPE`
RISING WATER DURING THREATENING RAINS.
