THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN VICTORIA HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  815 PM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...

IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS

   ...EASTERN DEWITT COUNTY...NORTHWESTERN JACKSON COUNTY

AT 700 PM CST VICTORIA RADAR INDICATED SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS
WITH HEAVY RAIN LOCATED ABOUT 10 MILES EAST OF CUERO IN DEWITT
COUNTY AND ABOUT 15 MILES NORTHWEST OF EDNA IN JACKSON COUNTY.
THESE  SHOWERS HAD BEEN MOVING SLOWLY IN A EAST DIRECTION AT
ABOUT 5 MILES AN HOUR.
RESIDENTS OF DEWITT AND JACKSON COUNTIES SHOULD BE ALERT
TO POOR DRIVING CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THESE THUNDERSTORMS.
THE FLOODING OF ROADWAYS AND LOW FLOOD PRONE AREAS WILL LIKELY
OCCUR.



DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
